HUNTING |
| There are wild pig-hunting
grounds in Izmir . It’s surroundings (especially
around Çeşme) for Hunting Tourism. These
grounds are open throught the Tourism Season and
inclines the fulling capacity. There are allso
hunting grounds in the Karaburun peninsula, the
animals such as wild goats are being hunted. The
animals that are permitted to be hunted in these
grounds are fixed before and then they are declared
by the "LOCAL HUNTER’S
ASSOCIATION". These rules are expanded
with the help of travelling agencies
internationality. Every hunted animal provides a
certain exchange income. Mostly the Italians&Germans
attend these organizations that are organized by
some travelling agencies and certain camping resorts.
The pig hunting organizations are continuous. The
regions for hunting are limited, in Izmir, the
hunting places include mostly the Çeşme, Karaburun
and Selçuk districts. |

You can find Wild
Boar (Sus Scrofa), Ibex
(Capra Aegagrus),
Asiatic Brown Bear (Ursus
Arctos), Chamois (Rupicapra
Rupicapra Anatolica), Deer (Cervus
Elaphus), Red - Deer (Dama
Dama), Roe Deer (Capreolus
Capreolus), Moufflon (Ovis
Ammon Anatolica), Dorcas Gazelle (Gazelle
Dorcas / Gazelle
Subgutturosa), Wolf (Canis
Lupus), Jackal (Canis
Aureus), Fox (Vulpes
Vulpes), , All Kinds of Birds (Aves)
and other mammals in the Turkish wilderness.
Foreign hunters are only allowed to hunt Wild Boar,
Ibex, Chamois, Wolf, Lynx and Fox. All other game is
protected by the Ministry of Forests. There are
severe penalties for those who break the law.
There are no special territories or farms for big
game in Turkey. All hunting animals are totaly WILD
and all hunts are completely NATURAL.
Foreign hunters must have a Special Hunting Permit.
The permit is only available through the hunting
agency.

ENTRANCE
OF THEIR RIFLES IN THE COUNTRY, SAFELY
Rifles are still forbidden in Turkey. If the hunters bring
their rifles without permission, custom officers must take
action.
With permission, all rifles will be noted in the passports
on arrival and cancelled on departure by the custom
officers.
The
hunters are allowed to bring 3 rifles, 3 shotguns and 50
bullets per rifle and 100 shotshells per shotgun.
There
is no declaration for bowhunting.
LEGAL HUNT
Without hunting permission, hunting is not legal.
In every foreign hunter’s or group of foreign
hunters’s hunting organisation, a minimum one official
forest personnel joins for the daily hunting reports. |
FISHING |

| Fishing is
available in Urla, Güzelbahçe, Balıklıova,
Mordoğan, Karaburun, Yeni Liman, Dalyan köy, Çeşme
and Sığacık shellters in every season, of the
year and it provides the cities fishing need.
Especially around Urla fishing shelter, the
hunting provides mostly Izmir’s fishing needs. |
